Vortex Gas Piston® is a patented, innovative gas spring technology designed for spring-powered air rifles. Utilizing compressed air to drive the piston. It ensures quieter and smoother operation while reducing recoil by eliminating most of the vibrations caused by heavy metal springs. This system provides higher velocities and improved accuracy by maintaining consistent technical parameters throughout its lifespan, thereby increasing the durability of the pneumatic system compared to traditional piston systems with metal springs, which tend to weaken over time, leading to a decrease in velocity. Additionally, there is no risk of spring fatigue or breakage. Additionally, air pistols and air rifles with a Vortex Gas Piston can remain cocked for extended periods without the risk of spring stress or damage to the airgun.

Vortex TYPE-1-B ST, the set allows the conversion of a classic Hatsan spring airgun into a modern one equipped with a gas spring, with 17 J energy in accordance with Polish law. Hatsan Company has made it possible to modernize previously purchased air rifles by replacing a metal main spring with a modern gas spring.

The innovation of Vortex® Gas Piston technology enables:

• replacement of the metal main spring for gas spring in most Hatsan airguns
• possibility of smooth tuning, the spring has an opening enabling it to be pumped (max 150 bar) using a cylinder or PCP pump in the range from 7 J, through 17 J, to the maximum energy for a given spring airgun model.
• use of compressed air for the drive, not like in the springs of other noble gas producers (which increases the price of the spring, prevents its smooth tuning).
